This region, which stretches from the Caribbean to the Talamaca and Central mountain ranges, has a wide variety of temperatures depending on altitude.
The region is exposed to the humid winds of the Caribbean Ocean. This moisture is converted into rainfall on the coast and plains, but tropical rainfall occurs mainly in the mountains.
The "dry" periods take place in the months of March-April and August-September.
The Caribbean area has pleasant and mild temperatures all year round.
